I became a journalist to tell stories like this one. I am proud to have been part of the ABC News team reporting on this story with Linsey Davis and grateful that survivors of rape and sexual abuse bravely shared their stories with us.
I wish I could say that the probation department in Los Angeles has remedied this, but youth are still reporting sexual abuse, and--in many cases--the accused probation officers are still working there or still collecting their pensions.
